It dates to the third quarter of the 2nd century, and was discovered in central Bordeaux in 1756.

This stele of the family Cintucnatus was discovered in the foundations of the old Hotel de l'Intendence at the base of the Roman walls.

It depicts a whole family. They are dressed in tunics and long coats. The man and the woman are holding hands, a symbol of union. The man, bearded, is holding his left hand a box, a sign of his important social position. The girl in his right hand has a bunch of grapes.

The inscriptions says the man, Valerius Felix, died aged 40. His wife, Victorine, was "careful to raise the monument".
