Miroslav Barta
Leading Czech Egyptologist

Miroslav Barta is the Czech Republic's leading Egyptologist, and works for the Czech Institute of Egyptology at Prague's famous Charles University. He has conducted several excavations in Egypt - most recently in the modern town of Abusir, about 25 miles outside Cairo. Barta has written a wealth of books on ancient Egypt, including one detailing the famous Egyptian Story of Sinuhe with regards to archaeology and the Bible. Barta retains a passion for his discipline with a youthful exhuberance - noting that, 'every day, every minute you can discover new things.'
