Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs
Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs is a prestigious exhibition, at Indianapolis' Children's Museum - which combines over 50 treasures from the tomb of the boy-king with another 70 artefacts spanning two millennia of the great civilization. For those with more than a passing interest in the historical knowledge of Egypt's most famous ruler, the show will also exhibit landmark scientific research on King Tut, culminating in the first 3D CT-scan of the pharaoh's mummy. Information stresses the importance and role of kingship in Ancient Egypt, and artefacts on display relate to some of the culture's other showcase monarchs, including Hatshepsut, Psusennes I and Khufu, whose pyramid still stands tall today as the only surviving ancient wonder of the world. August 7 sees one of the exhibition's most esteemed events, when world-famous Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass will be coming to Butler University's Clowes Memorial Hall to give a talk entitled 'Mysteries of King Tut Revealed'. It promises to be a great addition to the show.
