King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs

King Tut (Tutankhamun) / de Young Museum / サンフランシスコ

Following a hugely successful run at the Dallas Museum of Art, King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs comes to San Francisco's de Young Museum, where visitors can wonder at over 50 burial items from the tomb of the famous boy-king. Also on display will be over 80 other items from the kings and queens of the ancient civilization's crucial 18th Dynasty. These include objects of the heretic king Akhenaten, and the powerful queen Hatshepsut. Some of the beautiful items on show include one of King Tut's canopic jars, a gilded chair, a board game and pectoral scarab. Two coffinettes also contain the foetuses of two mysterious children.
