Key People
Central Asia's history has been determined by the geography and the climate of the area. As a result of the area being so far from the sea, it was cut off from most of the trade and the aridity of the region made agriculture very difficult. The area in and around central asia has been marked with conflict as a result of the relationship between the settled people, and the steppe nomads who held dominance over the region until the end of the 16th century.
