Haiti Fundraiser with Kirsty Hawkshaw in Stonehenge Virtual Raises £700
On Saturday night, Heritage Key brought a charity concert to raise money for the victims of the Haitian earthquake online into Stonehenge Virtual (Watch the Promo video below), featuring a performance by Kirsty Hawkshaw. It was a fantastic night which raised over £700 for the Foundry/Haiti fund. Donations were made both at the venue and online from people who listened to the concert from around the world in Heritage Key Virtual.
I made the long and arduous journey through London, which as any resident will tell you is a difficult task on public transport at the weekend. But after many hours (and white hairs), I made it to Chesham, and started setting up the technology to stream the concert online. Things kicked off at 9PM GMT as Kirsty took to the stage and wowed the audience with her silky smooth voice.
Donate to the Foundry/Haiti Fund
If you'd still like to make a donation to the Foundry/Haiti fund, then you can visit their webpage and select the Paypal link to donate online. The Foundry/Haiti fund has been formed by The Foundry in London in partnership with Ghetto Biennale, an artisan community in the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince.
There were some fantastic performances from several local musicians that night, and a fun time was had by all - both in the real and virtual worlds! If you missed the event, then don't fear as Heritage Key regularly holds live music concerts in Heritage Key Virtual, such as our recent concert with Dirtywormz multi-instrumentalist Thumper Boucher. Keep an eye on our Things to Do page to stay in the loop with what's on, including an upcoming gig from Born Again Druids. Or if you're a band or musician, get in touch to ask about performing your own live gigs in our virtual areas.

Lovely shot of you and Kirsty and 'Slim'. What was quite funny, was that one of my friends (who was clueless about what the Rosetta stone is) was like 'OMG! Kirsty Hawkshaw! I love her music! Are you going?'... Sadly, after the event, else I'd have dragged him into the virtual areas.
